Halal Food Policy

All meat and poultry used in K-LiT dishes is sourced exclusively from halal-certified suppliers. No pork or pork-derived ingredients are used in any K-LiT recipe, and no alcohol is used in our cooking or marinades.

We only work with suppliers who can present valid halal certification from a recognised authority. Certificates are kept on file and re-verified at each renewal. If a supplier's certification lapses, we suspend that ingredient until valid certification is restored.

Our cooks prepare halal dishes with dedicated utensils and surfaces, avoiding any cross-contact with non-halal ingredients. Recipes follow traditional Mauritian halal home-cooking practice — the same standard trusted in our mamas' kitchens.

Every dish that meets our halal criteria carries the Halal tag in its dietary information, and you can filter the meal library to show only halal dishes. If a dish is not tagged halal, treat it as unverified and check with us before ordering.

You can add a note to any dish in your basket (for example, "halal preparation only") and our kitchen will honour it wherever possible. For specific certification questions, ingredient sourcing details or large family orders, contact us directly and we will confirm in writing.

K-LiT relies on the halal certification of its suppliers and is not itself a certifying body. While we take every reasonable precaution, this policy is a statement of our sourcing and kitchen practice, not a religious certification. If you have strict requirements, please discuss them with us before ordering.
