Payment Terms

Payments are processed by MIPS (mips.mu), Mauritius's all-in-one payment platform. Through one secure MIPS checkout you can pay by bank card (Visa, Mastercard) or local methods such as Juice, Blink and My.T Money. Cash on delivery is available for meal orders. Available methods are shown at checkout.

Card and wallet details are handled entirely by MIPS on its secure payment page. K-LiT never sees or stores your card number or wallet credentials on its own servers. You are redirected to MIPS to pay and returned to K-LiT once the payment is complete.

K-LiT operates as a merchant under Mauritius's payment-services framework:

• National Payment Systems Act 2018 — governs payment systems and payment service providers in Mauritius. Our gateway, MIPS, operates the payment services it provides to us under the authorisation and licensing framework set by the Bank of Mauritius.
• National Payment Systems (Authorisation and Licensing) Regulations 2021 — set the authorisation, conduct and safeguarding requirements applying to licensed payment service providers, including the handling and settlement of your funds.
• Consumer Protection requirements — we honour clear pricing (all charges are shown in Rs before you pay), issue a receipt for every order, provide refunds in line with our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and give you a complaints channel for billing disputes.

Under the Financial Intelligence and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2002, we and our payment provider apply anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing controls. In practice this means: identity verification where a payment requires it, monitoring of transactions for suspicious activity, retention of payment records for the statutory period, and reporting of suspicious transactions to the Financial Intelligence Unit. A payment may be delayed or held for additional verification where these controls require it.

All prices are in Mauritian Rupees (Rs). Meal prices, delivery fees and any additional charges are shown clearly before you pay — no hidden fees are added at checkout, in line with the Price Fixing Act 2002 and Mauritius's price-display rules.

We review our VAT position under the Value Added Tax Act 1998 against current registration thresholds. Where VAT applies to a supply, it is handled in the displayed price and a compliant receipt is issued for every order. We also keep proper accounting records and meet our income tax obligations under the Income Tax Act 1995.

The K-LiT Membership is billed monthly through MIPS. Each payment covers one month, starting on your join or renewal date. When your paid month ends you can renew from My Membership — we will show your renewal date and remind you before it expires. Cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period and no further charges are made.

By placing an order or joining the membership, you authorise us to charge the displayed amount through MIPS for the period you are paying for.

If a payment fails or is cancelled at the MIPS checkout, your order or membership is not activated and you are not charged. You can retry the payment. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for refunds.
